San Juanico is a small fishing village nestled inside a south facing bay on the Pacific coast of Southern Baja. The main employers of the town are the local fishing co-operative and tourism related services. The village began life as a center for the harvesting of abalone, and now has a fleet of pangas run by the co-op. They fish year round including seasons for lobster and abalone. San Juanico is somewhat isolated for some visitors but is the main town and service center for those who run cattle or goats on the many ranches in surrounding area and Sierra.
